About Our Society

We acknowledge that the Okanagan Falls Museum is located on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People.   We are thankful to be able to work, play and live in this beautiful little hamlet of the Okanagan.

The Okanagan Falls Museum was registered as a non-profit Society in British Columbia in 1983.  The Society was established to preserve the history and artifacts of pioneer life in Okanagan Falls.

The property was gifted to the Society by the Women's Institute of Okanagan Falls

The property features:
The Bassett House, built in 1909.
Artifacts and photographs of yesteryear
An outdoor pavilion displaying machinery and appliances of the early 1900's
A log building dedicated to the awards of World Champion Rodeo Cowboy, Kenny McLean
